This week we learned how to spell and read words that have the vowel digraph ea. We wrote all about firefighters and we continued to write our How-To using more details. We reviewed adjectives and we practiced adding them to our writing pieces.
In Science we continued to learn about butterflies. We reviewed the life cycle of a butterfly and we filled in our entomologist books by writing down our observations of our five caterpillars. We can not believe how much they have changed and grew this past week! We also learned the parts of a caterpillar.
Mrs Ivry Judaic
I would like to thank SiHA PtA for an amazing evening of appreciation. It was really special spending time with staff and parents doing some "constructive work" ;) Thank you again for giving us the privilege to teach and help your children grow and become the best that they can! Looking forward to more!
We spent the week sharpening our Hebrew reading skills. Kindergarteners are getting ready to do first grade Hebrew work. They can transliterate Hebrew into English. They reviewed their vocabulary words as well.
In Parsha, we learnt the special Mitzva of returning a lost object and how by doing this Mitzah, we will not be tempted to keep someone else's property and then lie. We also learnt the special Mitzva of Birkat Kohanim (the priestly blessing) and watch a short clip of how this takes place by the Kotel in Yerushalayim.
I loved reading all the Shavuot Mitzvah notes!
Have a Shabbat Shalom

The 3rd graders took their Ivrit Final this week! There is a sense of calmness throughout the classroom....everyone can breath now that the final has passed. We started a new perek (chapter) in our chumash workbooks. We had a review to remind ourselves of what we learned in the beginning of the year and we connected the story to make it more clear for us. Not only are we learning the story of our past through the chumash but we are also developing our language and grammar in the Hebrew subject.

We worked in groups to create a newspaper article explaining how people have impacted an animal or plant in a specific environment. Leah and Daniel did an excellent job explaining how we are impacting Madagascar and how we should stop destroying the resources in Madagascar that animals need in order to live. Check out their article in the newsletter.
