We wrote a terrific composition about a day in the park . We told about going on the swing , slide , and playing freeze tag . It was interesting to hear about fun picnics with our families . In social studies we began learning about America pioneers . It was interesting reading about traveling west through the wilderness in covered wagons .
Ms. May Geography

SECOND GRADE
Ms. May ELA, SS and Geography
This week in ELA the students focused on revising their writing by paying close attention to their individualized goals to improve upon their writing. Struggling spellers zoned in on words that they do not know and have been studying them to improve on their spelling. The class received a 90% or better on their last Spell/Voc test and I was especially proud to reward them for their success with a treat (an extra HW coupon and a Sponge Bob/Princess note pad)! We will resume our regular Spelling/Vocabulary test next Monday, and begin our fifth trade book.
In SS, This week we practiced, prepared, practiced and prepared for our SS fair! From strengthening our singing to revising our speeches, we have diligently been focusing on doing our best! Next week we will resume Current Events, and focus on our next historian.
