It’s hard to believe that this is the last Newsletter of this school year! Time flies when you’re having fun! The best part of teaching is when the class has reached its potential and is ready to move on to the next level with the appropriate skills. It is my hope that I also did the best I could to help them along the way. And with your help, they have grown tremendously. Thank you for the opportunity to spend another best year at SIHA with amazing students and top parents!
The week ended with a Challah baking day on the last Thursday. We learnt in Parsha the story of the spies, and the Mitzvah of separating Challah. We performed this special Mitzva which was the first Mitzva the Jews were given upon entering the Promised Land. This Mitzvah is a reminder that all livelihoods (represented here by bread) come from Hashem.
Kindergarteners were introduced to another vowel, the Patach that sounds just like the kamatz. So that was pretty easy for now but nonetheless exciting! ;) They continue to practice for their big day. We can’t wait to see you all there at Graduation!
Shabbat Shalom

It's hard to believe that the school year is coming to an end. This week we learned about the two fast days that we have in the summer commemorating the destruction of the Bet Hamikdash (our holy temple). The first sad day is called "shiva aser bitamuz" (The walls surrounding the Bet Hamikdash were broken) and the second is "Tisha B'av" (The saddest day of the year when we remember the actual destruction of the Bet Hamikdash).
