Now that we are experts at describing objects using adjectives we worked on creating stories that contain many adjectives.

First Grade:
Mr. I-Science
We had an exam on animal kingdoms and habitats and the class did superb at first glance. We will be getting into our last unit which is the solar system next week.
Mrs. Perles-ELA
As we are getting close to the end of the year, I see so much growth in learning, friendship, and maturity. The class are all amazing "second" grade readers and writers. They play beautifully at recess together and enjoy talking and having fun conversations with each other at snack. However, what I love the most is seeing the amazing growth that each child shows in handling himself or herself. If they need help or just want to talk, they are polite and obey school and class rules. It has been a wonderful year for the class as well as for myself.
Mrs. Shats-Math
This week we continued to practice adding and subtracting money. Identified coins, figured out how to make the same amount using different dollars and cents. Played pretend store with real money.
